Benefits of Personal Training

Benefits of Personal Training

1. Increases accountability

One of the most challenging parts about staying consistent in your program or routine can be this exactly. Getting up and doing them!

If you don't have a dedicated appointment to workout & knowing your trainer is expecting to see you, you’re much more likely to not do it. Its a lot easier to stay home in bed or lounge on the couch instead. Its harder to stay motivated when its just you.

Working with a personal trainer will give you the push you need to get your workout in, whether in person or virtually on our app.

You will also work a lot harder with a training pushing you to do the reps!

“If you want to go far, go together”  The more support someone has with their health and fitness goals, the more likely they are to succeed.

The more accountability people have, the more likely they are to stick to their fitness program.

2.  Nutritional advice

Its just as important to have a good nutritional program as it is to have a workout program. Nutrition is how we become healthy, strong, loose fat, gain muscle, balance hormones, and learn to eat for our body type.  All of our trainers are well versed in nutrition with training nutritionist on staff.

Whether your goal is weight loss, muscle gain, or both, your diet plays a crucial role.

Knowing how much protein to eat for your body type and goals is key in any program.

3. Helps your mental health

There’s a lot of research that supports the positive effect physical activity can have on mental health issues like depression and anxiety.

Exercise increases blood circulation to the brain, helping reduce stress and improve mood and cognitive function overall. Working with a trainer consistently will help you reap these benefits.

A good personal trainer will take an interest in your life -  your family, your career, your struggles - and can become a confidante of sorts. This helps them know how to build out your program too! Had a long night with the baby? Ok we can tone it down today, feeling stressed? Ok lets bump it up and make it an intense sweat sesh today! Knowing that someone is in your corner rooting for you, not only in the gym but also outside of it, is a good feeling.

4. Promotes exercise variety

A personal trainer can show you to exercises you may have never done before or would never have attempted on your own, decreasing your chance of hitting a plateau.

Research has found that changing things up with a varied workout routine made people feel more motivated. The fixed and varied routines also had similar muscular effects.

5. Promotes a healthy lifestyle change

Working with a personal trainer can help you develop good habits for a lifetime.

One study found that people do a whopping 43% of their everyday actions while they’re thinking about something else.

This means that if you don’t actively add in those healthy habits - Sleeping 8hrs, having a step goal, drinking more water,  skipping the extra drinks- you may have a harder time accomplishing your goals.

A trainer can help you make these changes one by one and support you through any blocks that may come up. Starting with goal setting, support, advice, and accountability to all the great progress along the way will make the positive changes a habit. A good personal trainer will navigate together with you.
